How to Clean a TubShroom (Quick Maintenance Guide)
Share
To clean a TubShroom, simply lift it from the drain and wipe the collected hair off with a tissue or paper towel. For deeper cleaning, rinse under warm running water and squeeze gently to remove any soap buildup. TubShroom products are also dishwasher safe for thorough sanitization.
Quick Clean (After Every Few Showers)
Lift the TubShroom from the drain. Using a tissue or paper towel, grip the top of the TubShroom and slide downward, collecting all hair in one motion. The silicone material releases hair easily without any scrubbing. Dispose of the hair in the trash and place the TubShroom back in the drain. This process takes about 10 seconds.
Deep Clean (Weekly or As Needed)
Hold the TubShroom under warm running water. Squeeze the silicone body a few times to break up any soap residue that may have accumulated inside. Apply a small amount of dish soap if needed and rinse thoroughly. For the stainless steel Ultra models, a soft cloth with mild soap keeps them looking new.

Dishwasher Cleaning (Monthly)
All TubShroom products are dishwasher safe. Place on the top rack and run a normal cycle. This is the easiest way to give your TubShroom a thorough sanitization and is especially helpful if soap scum has built up over time.
Tips for Keeping Your TubShroom in Top Shape
- Use bleach-free cleaners only. Harsh chemicals can degrade silicone over time.
- If your TubShroom develops an odor, soak it in a solution of warm water and white vinegar for 15 minutes.
- Clean more frequently if you have hard water, as mineral deposits can accumulate faster.
- Replace your TubShroom if the silicone becomes stiff, cracked, or no longer holds its shape. With normal use, a TubShroom lasts two to three years or longer.
